a modeling campaign touring across the country I was a part of…

Please excuse my lack of posts re: track & field. The year is going well. I returned from quite an adventure in the West Indies and competed at an acceptable level. I have quite a lot of work left to do in order to achieve a spot on any team, but I have opted to stay home and train in preparation for our Olympic trails at the beginning of July. I look forward to re-capping the entire year at the conclusion of the season. However until then, I am to remain as focused as possible while I trudge onward on this solo quest to self contentment in sport!

CLT & Careers TV did a special on me. I am looking forward to it, it took a few month to put together.

I began my 2008 track and field season in Southern California. I jumped at the Azusa Invitational on Friday April 18th. The weather was awesome 28 degrees Celsius, and though there were numerous entries in the competition (30-35) the long wait did not have negative effects as it does in colder climates. I jumped 2.20m and had a good crack at 2.25m winning the competition. a good start in my books. Read the rest of this entry »

I just finished my first meet of the season. Things went as planned… but a very optimistic day. Thanks to “Coach Wevens” - Whitney Evans, for her help as always. Whitney and I are off to Seattle next weekend, and I hope to improve on todays performance. Thanks to everyone that showed up, it was very special to have your support there!
