I am honored and excited to be a part of an amazing band, with an amazing legacy in the city of Edmonton. I am one half of the vocal talent of the Retrofitz. Western Canada’s latest and greatest all-star dance band!! THE RETROFITZ’s kickin’ rhythm section, groovin’ horns and soulfull vocals make any event a party worth having! Groove all night long to the best dance music in town! Featuring Me (Jesse Lipscombe) and Jodie Leslie on vocals, this 11-piece crew is jam-packed with some of Edmonton’s finest musicians.

Well, I can tell you.. with the character limits on all these fast paced web 2.0 social gathering sites, I am limited and rushed in my ability to emote and vent to the unknown world. teamlipscombe.com was, at one point a healing place for me to share things about life, and well.. thats it… I know very few people read this blog, and the numbers are irrelevant, cuz the feeling of sharing real words and real thoughts with complete strangers is exciting to me.. im like a letter voyeur.. or blog exhibitionist.. i guess all bloggers are.. oh well on that note.. i welcome myself back!

Stacey Hogbin and I just got back from speaking at the Unlisted Summit in Banff, Alberta. It proved to be a little more than just a business conference. With the select group of talented individuals selected to attend; a lot was acquired in the three days.

Though the sessions were informative, the meat of the knowledge was gained at the Banff pub… where strangers became friends, and friends business partners to be.

I am back in Edmonton after a year of all years in this sport I so love. I will start from the back and work my way up. Olympics are a no-go, I placed third at the trials with a dismal 2.16 jump (Mike Mason won with a jump of 2.21m and may be representing our country at the games, where I wish him some serious kick butt luck!).
