E-Journal - “Mt. Sac-a-wreck” - April 14 9:24am
There seems to be a tradition that happens to me before I compete. In the past I would always find a way to ‘find an accident’, never serious, but always something. In the past the injuries have ranged from a broken toe, 24-hour flu, or a rolled ankle. The whole thing has been pretty funny, as it has never adversely affected my performance, more of a check point. Well this time, I said to myself…self, “lay low, stay calm, try to not repeat history.”
lol…
Here it is… driving on the freeway, the 105 west, headed to the airport to pick up my wife. Traffic slows to a crawl as people merge, the driver behind me decides slowing was ‘uncool’ and slams into the back of my over-sized Dodge Magnum (thank God I got the insurance). The car was drivable, but ruined, I am fine, but bruised a little, and i got a new car. The good news is I hit my check point, and jumping should go well tomorrow! Peace.
