Well I just finished the first meet of the comeback season. I jumped as well as I would have hoped for at this stage. I took a crack at 2.22m and had two great attempts at it… not sure why the bar fell.. but in my books it was a make. Too bad no one goes by my books. Anyway, Sheri jumped 1.65m (my training partner) and she looked great too.

The best part was, when I was standing at my mark, getting ready to jump… just listening to everyone clapping together, anticipating the jump. Regardless of the outcome, the energy alone in the butterdome really reinforced my decision to jump again. It felt really good to have the peeps behind me. Thanks to Mom, Curt, Sheena, Dee, Turner, Brad, jodie, Erika, Titi, Whit, Sheri, and of course linda for coming out to watch… meant a lot to have yall there.

Here we go… now i have to go stand in line and get my passport, so I can go to mt.sac in about six weeks.. sure hope I get it in time!!!
